Tram Goers Vol 1.

Just scanned some sketches tonight.. all drawn on the tram. I often have to draw people's profiles or people who are looking down reading, as I don't want them to notice me doing it. I can imagine it could potentially make them feel uncomfortable.... ;)

Thought I'd add some life drawings here too...

These are the 3 pieces that I have finished most recently. I still have a bunch more that are sort of maybe 70 to 90% done.. I just need to find the motivation to finish them off somehow....

Here's some more random old stuff, still nothing that hasn't seen the light of day before, but the new stuff will come...
This one's a self portrait.. another colour study done for fun...

This was a graphite drawing that I did for a fundraiser. Unfortunately I never scanned it (it was too big for my scanner) and only snapped this photo of it on my phone before handing it over. It sold on the night, which I was happy about, but I suppose I hadn't been expecting that or I might've tried to get a better quality photo first.... You can't really tell from this, but I suppose you can guess that there is a kid at the bottom of the well....

These two are concept drawings for a personal project of mine that most likely will never happen... they are very old and not very developed, but I have a soft spot for them nonetheless...

So I thought I'd just start off with a big dump of the images I already have sitting on my hard drive. These ones are all 'colour studies', basically meaning I sketched the images and used photo reference for the colours. It was a massive, massive learning curve for me and it opened my eyes to the world of colour in a new way, which basically made my head asplode... I think I'm starting to understand it more now though, and working in the 3D world has certainly helped a lot with my understanding of colour and light and materials... More to come! Comments welcome!
